Managerial/Coaching Career

Is in his first season on Terry Francona's coaching staff after being name to the position in December...As Major League Coach, he will support the coaching staff in all facets of advance preparation, player performance and onfield pre-game work. In addition, he will assist any in-game needs for players and staff and provide a support role to players transitioning to Cleveland from the Player Development system...Managed four seasons in the Indians Player Development system, 2014-17, most recently Double-A Akron in 2017... Led High-A Lynchburg to postseason appearances in 2015-16...Made his professional coaching debut at the helm of the Lake County Captains in 2014.

Playing Career

Budzinski was originally drafted by Cleveland in the 21st round of the 1995 draft and played seven years in the Indians ranks from 1995-2001...Spent time in the Chicago-NL, Milwaukee, Cincinnati and Philadelphia organizations before retiring in 2005...Made his Major League debut with the Cincinnati Reds on August 3, 2003 and appeared in four big-league games with the club...The former outfielder was also a member of the United States team in the 2001 Baseball World Cup managed by Terry Francona, winning a silver medal.
