RICKY PACIONE, who turns 30 on April 25, begins his sixth season on the Indians coaching staff. His duties include catching starting and relief pitchers and throwing batting practice along with assisting Indians positional coaches with functions relative to their positional responsibility. Ricky played professionally for two seasons in the Los Angeles Angels system after being selected in the 48th round of the 2011 draft out of Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY). Following the conclusion of his playing career in the spring of 2013, he coached the Newburgh American Legion team that summer. He is single and was born and resides in Newburgh, NY. He was a first-team all-MAAC selection at Marist in 2011 and helped the Red Foxes to a 2009 NCAA regional. He was an Academic All-American in 2011, the first in Marist baseball history.
