My son is 10 months old. I've got pictures from [NCAA football] national championship day [when Boone's USC Trojans fell to Texas]. The pictures keep you sane some days.
CLOTHES UPON CLOTHES UPON CLOTHES
I guess I'm not good at throwing stuff away. I think I am, but I'm not. But I'm getting better. A lot of times I'll just leave it here if I don't think I'm going to use it in Spring Training.
I'll use them whenever I need a pick-me-up.
WRISTBANDS AND BATTING GLOVES
I've got lots of these. I go through a lot of them. All though this year I've been wearing TPX wristbands that I don't have to change as frequently. But once the summer hits and it gets warm, they wear out quicker. Especially batting gloves. They'll just get sweaty and old real quick.
PINK BAT [USED FOR MOTHER'S DAY GAME]
Whatever. It's something different.
I'm semi-hooked. They're good for rainy days when you're not on the field and you have to kill a little time.
PICTURES TO SIGN FOR "BOONIE'S BUDDIES"
I'm awesome about keeping up with fan mail in the spring. Usually there's a period where I'm on my own, and you come home and you have the evenings where you're too tired to do anything. So I'm real good about keeping up with fan mail then. During the season, I'm not as good at it. So I end up having a few boxes that I take home with me, and that'll carry over into the spring a little bit.
I don't even use these very often. I think the guys that wear them foul balls off their legs more often. I don't think it's that much of a hindrance, but it takes some getting used to. I usually use it for a little while after I foul one off there. If I do that, I don't have a problem going to it.
You can lose track of where you're going to be. I try to stay a series ahead at all times.
