Mets at the plate:
Shawn Green, who had been having a quiet camp, ignited a big inning against C.C. Sabathia with his leadoff homer in the second inning. Endy Chavez hit an RBI single, and Jose Reyes got his second hit in as many at-bats when he hit a two-run homer to left. Paul Lo Duca had an RBI single in the fifth.
Indians at the plate:
Ben Francisco continued what has been an excellent spring with a solo homer in thae second. It was his third long ball of the spring. The Indians put two on with two outs in the third, and Jhonny Peralta came through with an RBI single. Victor Martinez contributed with a sac fly in the seventh.
Mets on the mound:
Left-hander Jason Vargas, trying to earn the last spot in the rotation, got into some trouble with two outs in both the second and third innings. He pitched three frames, giving up a pair of runs on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Ambiorix Burgos worked two scoreless innings.
Indians on the mound:
Sabathia was a bit out of rhythm early, but he found his groove late. He went four innings, giving up four runs on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Right-hander Brian Slocum, who has an outside shot at the rotation spot filling in for an injured Cliff Lee, went two innings, giving up a run on two hits.

Mets 5-9-1; Indians 8-6.
The Mets are back in the central Florida area Tuesday for a 1:05 p.m. ET game in Lakeland against the Tigers. Right-hander John Maine will get the start opposite Kenny Rogers. The Indians split up for a home game against the Blue Jays at 12:35 p.m. and in Dunedin against the Jays at 1:05 p.m. Paul Byrd gets the start at home, while Adam Miller gets the ball on the road.
