He allowed one run in the first inning and escaped the third inning without a run despite allowing a double and three walks. He was charged for one run in five innings. Rudy Seanez, pitching for the first time this spring on consecutive days, had his first tough outing, allowing a two-run homer in the eighth.
Indians on the mound: Starter Jake Westbrook allowed two runs in six innings. Jason Davis pitched one scoreless inning. Rafael Betencourt pitched 1 2/3 innings and took the loss.

Up next: The Dodgers' Brad Penny, who missed his last start with stiffness at the top of his pitching shoulder, starts Monday night against the Mets at Port St. Lucie. Penny is still scheduled to start Game 4 of the regular season at San Francisco.
