The Indians' top pick in the 2011 Draft, Francisco Lindor, is already making noise with the Lake County Captains in the Class A Midwest League.

The organization on Tuesday announced that Lindor, an 18-year-old shortstop, was the Indians Minor League Player of the week for April 30-May 6. The Puerto Rico-born switch-hitter was taken eighth overall last year and began the season as MLB.com's No. 1 Indians prospect.

Lindor doubled, homered twice, drove in four runs, stole five bases and posted a .379/.419/.621 line in his last seven games.

On the season, Lindor's hitting .299 (38-127) with 22 runs scored, five doubles, two triples, three home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 steals in 15 attempts through 29 games. He entered Tuesday leading the Midwest League in at-bats, with 127, and in third in hits, with 38.

Lindor does not turn 19 until Nov.14. He's been charged with four errors, but two of those came in his first three games of the season.
