Cleveland Indians to recognize those affected by events at Boston Marathon

The entire Cleveland Indians organization extends our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the events at the Boston Marathon yesterday afternoon.

As we welcome the Boston Red Sox tonight to Cleveland for the start of a three-game series, we would like to re-emphasize our commitment to a safe environment here at Progressive Field. The safety of our fans, players and staff at Progressive Field has always been, and will continue to be, our highest priority.

To recognize and honor those affected by yesterday's events, the flag will be at half-staff and there will be a moment of silence before the start of Tuesday's game.
