Chen recorded 4 multi-hit games, including a notable effort on April 24 vs. Trenton (2-for-4) when he delivered a 3-run double in the 3rd and a game-winning RBI-double in the 7th. He has reached base safely via hit, walk or hit-by-pitch in 19 of his 20 games for the Aeros, all consecutively, batting .348 (24-69) with 5 doubles, 3 home runs and 16 RBI overall this season. Chen leads the E.L. with a 1.056 OPS and 16 walks, while his .348 avg. ranks 3rd.

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound native of Taiwan was originally signed by the Indians as a non-drafted free agent in 2007. After clubbing 16 home runs in 2011, Chen was named to the E.L. Mid-Season All-Star team in 2012 and finished the year with the 7th-highest average in the Indians Player Development System at .308.
