Indians make a pair of roster moves


CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League roster.

Recalled RHP PRESTON GUILMET (#36) from AAA Columbus.

Designated INF MARK REYNOLDS for assignment.

Guilmet begins his second stint with Cleveland in 2013 after making his Major League debut on July 10 (0.2IP, 1K) vs. Toronto. Around his July 7-10 stint with Cleveland he has gone 4-4 with 18 saves and a 1.95 ERA in 42 relief appearances with the Columbus Clippers (55.1IP, 41H, 12ER, 13BB, 64K, .196AVG), including an ERA of 0.59 over his last 19 outings since May 27 (30.1IP, 23H, 2ER). He is currently 2nd in the International League in saves and has limited right-handed Triple-A hitters to a .179 (21-117) average against.

Reynolds hit .215 (72-335) with 8 doubles, 15 HR and 48RBI in 99 games for Cleveland this year.
