The Indians' home opener will be a midafternoon start. The team on Wednesday announced its start times for Progressive Field, including the Friday, April 4 matchup against the Twins for a 3:05 p.m. ET first pitch.
The Tribe will lead off the season with three games against the A's in Oakland, including Opening Day on March 31, then return home for an off-day April 3. The home opener begins a six-game homestand that includes an Interleague visit from the Padres.
The home opener will be televised on cable through SportsTime Ohio and over the air on WKYC Channel 3. SportsTime Ohio will carry at least 158 games, with four Saturday home games -- May 31, June 21, July 5 and July 12 -- to be determined pending the FOX Saturday Baseball telecast schedule.
The radio broadcast schedule remains much the same as last year. WTAM-AM 1100 will carry 161 games, the lone exception being an April 16 game at Detroit that conflicts with a Cleveland Cavaliers broadcast. In addition, 150 games will be simulcast on FM partner WMMS 100.7, continuing a relationship that began last year.
All three games of the home-opening series against the Twins will be matinees, with 1:05 p.m. starts on April 5 and 6. The first home night game of the season follows on April 7 to open the three-game set with San Diego, followed by 7:05 and 12:05 starts to wrap up the homestand.
Season tickets and flex-pack ticket packages are on sale now at indians.com. Single-game tickets will go on sale in early March.
