Indians invite C Luke Carlin to Major League camp

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has signed free agent C LUKE CARLIN to a Minor League Contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League spring training camp.

Carlin, 33, returns to the Indians organization after spending three seasons between AAA Columbus and Cleveland from 2010-12, appearing in 10 games with the Indians within that span. He spent the 2013 campaign in the Los Angeles organization with the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees, hitting, .230 (56-244) with 8 doubles, 4 home runs and 29 RBI in 77 games (40BB, .339OB%). He is a veteran of twelve Minor League seasons since 2002 and has appeared in 56 Major League games over parts of four seasons with San Diego, Arizona and Cleveland.
