PHOENIX -- Center fielder Nyjer Morgan is on his way to Arizona, but not to rejoin the Indians.

Morgan was evaluated in Cleveland on Monday and will continue his rehab work at the Indians' complex in Goodyear, Ariz., manager Terry Francona said Tuesday.

Morgan, who signed a Minor League contract with the Indians in January after playing a season in Japan, has played 15 games this year and been successful.

Before being placed on the 60-day disabled list with a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in May, Morgan was hitting .341 (14-for-41) and had one home run.
