Francisco Lindor, the Indians' top prospect and who is ranked No. 9 on MLB.com's Top 100 list, suffered a small, non-displaced nasal fracture when he took a bad-hop ground ball off of his face on Wednesday afternoon.

Lindor, who was recently named to his third straight Futures Game, got hurt when a sharp ground ball from Tigers prospect Devon Travis took a bad hop and hit the shortstop quarely in the nose.

The 20-year-old former first-round pick of the Indians walked off the field on his own, but will be shut down from baseball activity for the next several days. Lindor is expected to return to action in the next week to 10 days, which should give him enough time to get back in time to play for the World Team in the Futures Game.

In his first full season in the Double-A Eastern League, Lindor is hitting .283/.362/.409 with six homers, 43 RBIs and 19 stolen bases in 72 games.
