DETROIT -- The Indians found themselves inches away from an early lead in the first inning of the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
With the bases empty during a scoreless game, Michael Brantley launched one off Comerica Park's right-field fence that appeared to hit right off the yellow line, which is in play. It was ruled a live ball, and a 40-second crew chief review, initiated by Laz Diaz, confirmed that call.
Brantley was credited with a double, his sixth hit of the series against the Tigers, but did not score.
