Top pick Zimmer collects three hits in return

Playing in his first game in nearly two weeks, center fielder Bradley Zimmer, the Indians' first-round pick in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft, collected three hits Tuesday, helping Class A short-season Mahoning Valley defeat host State College, 5-0.

Zimmer, the Indians' No. 4 prospect, had been sidelined since July 31 with concussion-like symptoms. In his return to the Scrappers' lineup Tuesday, Zimmer went 3-for-5 with a double and a stolen base. He drove in two runs and scored once.
