Batting back-to-back in Class A Lake County's lineup Wednesday, outfielders Clint Frazier and Bradley Zimmer, the Indians' past two first-round picks, combined for five hits, three runs and four RBIs on Wednesday, as the Captains defeated South Bend, 6-2, in Game 1 of their first round Midwest League playoff series.

Frazier, the Indians' No. 2 prospect and fifth overall pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run. He scored twice and drove in two runs. Zimmer, the club's No. 4 prospect and 21st overall pick of the 2014 Draft, finished 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk. He scored once and drove in two runs.

Frazier, ranked No. 47 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, played his first full-professional season for Lake County. In 120 games with the Captains, the 19-year old hit .266/.349/.411 with 13 home runs and 12 stolen bases.

After the Indians drafted Zimmer out of the University of San Francisco in June, they assigned him to short-season Mahoning Valley. He hit .304/.401/.464 with four home runs and 11 stolen bases in 45 games, before he was promoted to Lake County last week.

Frazier and Zimmer are natural center fielders and have split time at the position since Zimmer joined the Captains. Frazier played center field Wednesday while Zimmer manned right field.

The Captains will have a chance to advance to the semifinals Thursday when their best-of-three series against the Silver Hawks continues with Game 2 at South Bend. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.
